| For the first time in District
6990 history the Youth Exchange program did a "parade of flags" at the
District Assembly. This parade, the idea of then incoming District
Elliot Lowenstein. was inspired by the same parade at Rotary's annual International
Convention Our parade had the flags of all of the Inbound students
carried by a student by the country, and the student going to that country
accompanied the flag as well. In addition each Inbound student read
the name of the future student coming from the same country next year,
and each future Outbound read the name of the current Outbound to the same
country. |
